Warrior Women’s Soccer Program Tabbed for Seventh Place Finish in CCC Coaches’ Preseason Poll

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office announced the 2025 Women's Soccer Coaches' Preseason Poll earlier today, where the Corban University Women's Soccer program was predicted to finish one spot higher in the regular season standings than they did last fall when they qualified for postseason contention with an eight-place finish. With the program entering their first season under newly hired head coach Brooke Alteneder, the Warriors are primed to turn the corner and advance deeper into the CCC and NAIA postseason tournaments.

"We're embracing the challenge ahead and using this preseason ranking as fuel," detailed Coach Alteneder. "Our team has been putting in the work every day, and there's a real sense of hunger and unity in this group. We're excited to compete and show what Corban women's soccer is all about this season."

In no surprise to anyone familiar with the CCC when it comes to women's soccer as of late, the reigning regular season and conference tournament champion Yotes of The College of Idaho (169) received all 13 first place votes to sit atop the preseason poll, followed by Oregon Tech (140) and Eastern Oregon University (137) to round out the top three.

Only eight voter points separate the second, third, and fourth ranked teams within this year's preseason results, with Carroll College (132) and Southern Oregon University (107) representing the largest differential in voter points to conclude the top five programs.

Directly above the Warriors (87) and Northwest University (87) is Rocky Mountain College, who finished fifth in the 2024 season standings despite dropping a 3-1 result to Corban during the Navy and Gold's senior weekend. The Eagles and Warriors played to a 1-1 draw in Kirkland last season, resulting in their preseason tie for seventh overall in this year's coaches' poll to represent the final two teams projected to qualify for the CCC Tournament.

Bushnell University (73) and The Evergreen State College (53), finished ninth and tenth in the preseason poll, followed by Warner Pacific University (43), the University of Providence (32), and rounding out the thirteen-team poll was Walla Walla University (22) in the Wolves' first counting season of competition as a second-year program.

The top eight teams in the conference standings at the end of the regular season will all earn automatic trips to the CCC Tournament, which will be hosted at the Lithia Driveway Fields complex in Medford, Oregon beginning on November 8th and concluding with a conference champion being crowned on the 12th.

The Navy and Gold are expected to host their season opener next Saturday, August 23rd at the Outdoor Athletic Complex (OAC), as they'll welcome NCAA DIII Pacific University at 1pm. To view the Warriors' complete 2025 schedule, click HERE.
