This year’s class hails from five different states within the United States, while all thirteen of the incoming recruits will be utilizing their freshman season of collegiate eligibility.

Alteneder Reveals First Recruiting Class as Corban Women’s Soccer Head Coach

SALEM, Ore. – Newly appointed head coach Brooke Alteneder of the Corban University Women's Soccer program has unveiled the thirteen recruits that will be joining the Warriors for their upcoming 2025 fall season. This year's class hails from five different states within the United States, while all thirteen of the incoming recruits will be utilizing their freshman season of collegiate eligibility.

"We're incredibly excited to welcome our 2025 recruiting class to the Corban women's soccer program," shared Coach Alteneder. "This group of thirteen brings tremendous work ethic and energy, and they fill key roles across every line of the field—defense, midfield, and attack. They add speed, intensity, and a relentless work rate that will strengthen our depth and help us replace the important pieces we lost last year. I'm confident they'll make an immediate impact on and off the field for Warrior women's soccer."

Emma Adams | Midfielder | 5-7 | Freshman | Salem, Ore. | Salem Academy

Adams will join her new head coach Brooke Alteneder as the lone representatives from Salem Academy in the 2025 recruiting cycle after having played on a pair of history teams for the Crusaders in 2024 and 2023. During her junior season, Adams was part of the first OSAA State Tournament qualifying squad in Salem Academy history, following up in her senior season with a First Team All-League nod and leading the Crusaders to the most program wins in a single season with 11 overall and a 6-2 league record in the 3A/2A/1A Special District 2.

A degree in biomedical sciences will help propel Adams towards her intended profession in psychiatry.

 

Carly Dela Cruz | Defender | 5-5 | Freshman | Kalaheo, Hawaii | Kauai HS

The lone Hawaiian from the 2025 Corban women's soccer recruiting class, Dela Cruz brings state championship experience to the Warriors after having earned a runner-up title in 2022 before helping lead Kauai High School to back-to-back-to-back Kauai Interscholastic Federation regular season championships. She was named a KIF All-Star in three-straight seasons for varsity girls' soccer and participated in track & field for two years along with cross country and flag football for single seasons of competition.

Dela Cruz will be pursuing a degree in marketing with intentions of becoming a realtor.

 

Kate Dickson | Forward | 5-2 | Freshman | Junction City, Ore. | Junction City HS

Dickson will join the Corban Athletic Department as a multi-sport athlete in the fall of 2025, beginning with the women's soccer team before making appearances for both the women's cross country and track & field programs. As a girls' soccer player at Junction City High School, Dickson secured All-League honors in her sophomore (Honorable Mention), junior (Second Team), and senior (Second Team) seasons and served as Team Captain for the Tigers over her final two years played. On the long-distance courses, she was an OSAA State Qualifier and First Team All-League recipient in all three seasons she coincided with soccer in the fall, while also qualifying for the state championships in track & field for the 4x100m and 4x400m relay races. In her high school winter seasons, Dickson picked up even more All-League accolades (Honorable Mention in 2024 & First Team in 2025) aboard Junction City's girls' basketball program.

With dreams of one day becoming an elementary school teacher, Dickson will begin the pursuit of a degree in elementary education.

 

McKenzie Helie | Forward | 5-3 | Freshman | Redmond, Ore. | Ridgeview HS

A four-year varsity letterman for the Ravens, Helie is the first of two Ridgeview High School signees within Alteneder's inaugural recruiting class, having scored five goals and assisted on eleven more across her high school playing career. Her freshman season, Helie and the Ravens secured an Intermountain Conference (IMC) regular season title to qualify for the 2021 OSAA State Tournament. Helie descends from a long-line of collegiate student-athletes within the Pacific Northwest, with three family members having played basketball for NCAA DII Saint Martin's University and Northwest Nazarene University, and NCAA DIII Linfield University.

Helie will begin her time as a Warrior by studying psychology with hopes of one day joining a profession within human services.

 

Elly Kokkeler | Midfielder | 5-10 | Freshman | Junction City, Ore. | Junction City HS

Another Junction City High School addition for Coach Alteneder, Kokkeler arrives in Salem having led the Tigers in goals her senior season and was second on the team for scoring in 2023 as an attacking midfielder, picking up Second Team and First Team All-Conference honors along the way within the 4A Sky Em League. Kokkeler will join cousins Grace Moyers (Wyoming State/Point Loma – Women's Basketball) and Maddie Moyers (Lubbock Christian – Women's Basketball) as their family's collegiate student-athletes.

A degree in kinesiology awaits Kokkeler at Corban, which she plans to use as a steppingstone towards a profession in occupational therapy or athletic training.

 

Madelyn Lathrop | Midfielder | 5-8 | Freshman | McCall, Idaho | McCall-Donnelly HS

Journeying to the Willamette Valley from midwestern Idaho, Lathrop will become the second member of her family to join a Cascade Collegiate Conference program, as her older sister Peyton most recently played for the University of Providence in the fall of 2023. Lathrop was a two-year captain for McCall High School and earned Presidential Scholar Award status along the way of a multi-sport career including soccer, basketball, and track & field.

With intentions of one day moving into the medical field as a physician, Lathrop will begin work towards a degree in Biology while attending Corban.

 

Holly Macedo | Defender | 5-7 | Freshman | Brea, Calif. | Brea Olinda HS

Macedo represents the only Californian among the 2025 recruiting class, having led Brea Olinda High School to the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) playoffs with a semifinal appearance marking the furthest run for the Wildcats during her four-year career. Along with Team Captain responsibilities, Macedo earned both Defensive MVP and Second Team All-League honors alongside a CIF Scholar Award. On the club level, she played for both Rangers FC and Slammers FC to punch her ticket to national tournament appearances, state cup championships, and numerous local tournament victories.

Securing a bachelor's degree in psychology will assist Macedo in one day becoming a psychologist.

 

Gracie Morrell | Defender | 5-3 | Freshman | Redmond, Ore. | Ridgeview HS

The second of two Ridgeview signees for the Warriors in 2025, Morrell touts four All-League honors across a pair of varisty sports during her time as a Raven. She was named an Honorable Mention selection in both the 2022 and 2023 seasons while earning a Second Team honor in her senior year this past fall. In the spring of 2025, Morrell was named a First Team All-Intermountain Conference for Ridgeview's lacrosse program.

A bachelor's degree in criminal justice will represent Morrell's freshman year studies with dreams of one day becoming a parole officer.

 

Gina Munguia-Martinez | Midfielder | 5-3 | Freshman | Salem, Ore. | McNary HS | Univ. of Oregon

A Salem native returning to her hometown to earn her graduate degree, Munguia-Martinez recently completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Oregon. Munguia-Martinez will strengthen the Warriors' midfielder unit and provide both experience and upperclassmen leadership among a young Corban women's soccer roster in the 2025 fall season.

A master's degree in business administration will provide Munguia-Martinez with the educational work needed to conclude her collegiate soccer career.

 

Sadie Schweitzer | Midfielder | 5-7 | Freshman | Oregon City, Ore. | Canby HS

Representing a four-year varsity girls' soccer starter for Canby High School, Schweitzer was named to First Team All-State and First Team All-League honors in her senior season this past fall after scoring six goals and assisting on twelve more. She was named a Northwest Oregon Conference (NWOC) All-League honoree in three of her four seasons played as a Canby Cougar, picking up another First Team accolade in 2023 while being named to Honorable Mention status in 2022, as well as a regular season champion to conclude her high school career at the 5A level.

Schweitzer will be pursuing a degree in kinesiology while playing for the Navy and Gold in hopes of one day securing a role within occupational therapy.

 

Ava-Anne Sheahan | Defender | 5-6 | Freshman | Port Angeles, Wash. | Port Angeles HS

Over her girls' soccer career played out for Port Angeles High School, Sheahan led the Roughriders to thirty-three defensive shutouts as a four-year starter, scoring six goals her senior season from the defensive line while also serving as Team Captain. Port Angeles made four-consecutive appearances in the WIAA State Tournament under Sheahan's leadership, earning three-straight Olympic League regular season titles and a First Team All-League nod along the way.

Sheahan is expected to earn a degree in biomedical sciences while donning the navy and gold jerseys on her way towards a career as a veterinary technician.

 

Brooklynn Splonski | Forward | 5-6 | Freshman | Salem, Ore. | Sprague HS

Splonski is a Salem native moving down Kuebler Boulevard and up to the City on a Hill following a three-year varsity girls' soccer career at Sprague High School. She was a member of the Olympians' back-to-back regular season league championships within the 6A Central Valley Conference and was eventually named to Second Team and Honorable Mention All-League honors in 2023 and 2024, respectively.

With her intended career path still undecided at her time of signing, Splonski will begin her time as a Warrior by pursuing a degree in marketing.

 

Samantha Vidican | Forward | 5-4 | Freshman | Portland, Ore. | Westside Christian HS

Serving in multiple roles for the Eagles of Westside Christian High School over her three-year pre-collegiate career earned Vidican numerous accolades, including Team MVP among both top offensive and defensive player awards. Growing up in the Portland area allowed Vidican to play for a handful of local club teams, including Portland City United, Eastside Thorns, Oregon Premier Football Club, and United PDX.

Vidican intends to study business administration during her freshman year campaign with the Warriors.
