KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2021 NAIA All-America teams on Wednesday, listing Corban University women's soccer stars Maria-Frances Serrant and Juliana Pires as Honorable-Mention All-Americans for their exceptional seasons on the pitch this fall.

"What an honor it is for these two to be recognized," said director of soccer Tim Kagey. "It is quite impressive to be among the very best, all while competing in one of the best conferences in the NAIA."
It's another feather in the cap for Serrant, who had an extraordinary year for the Navy and Gold. She was already named the Cascade Collegiate Conference's (CCC) Offensive Player of the Year, and now she becomes an All-American for the first time in her career.
She ranked second in the CCC in goals with 13, and second only to Pires in points-per-game with 1.81 this fall. Her 13 tallies are the most in a season by a Warrior since 2013, with the next-highest goal total in that span being eight.
Meanwhile, Pires led the CCC in points-per-game (1.81), ranking second in the conference in assists with six. She also found the back of the net 10 times, a testimony to her integral role in the Warriors' stellar offensive season.
The duo played a pivotal role in the strong campaign for the squad, which scored more goals this fall than any season since 2004.
