No. 13 Corban Men’s Wrestling Collects Four Pins in Senior Night Supremacy Over NCAA Pacific

SALEM, Ore. – In their final regular season dual of the 2024-25 regular season and final home event for six senior student-athletes, the No. 13-ranked Corban University Men's Wrestling team put on a show for the couple hundred members of Warrior Nation in attendance this evening at the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center by posting a dominant 46-6 dual result against NCAA DIII Pacific University, with the lone weight class lost coming via forfeit to the Boxers.

"Today's result was a good way to end the dual meet season," detailed Corban head coach Nolan Harris earlier this evening. "Of the contested bouts, we were able to win all matches and pick up falls in all but one matchup. Our bench and fans had a great energy and even Cadmar was able to join in on the fun. Our seniors did a good job of closing out their final regular season together and were able to put together the best dual meet season in program history. I'm proud of this team and excited for the upcoming weeks."

The Warriors (10-4) pick up their tenth head-to-head dual victory for the first time in program history and solidify the single best dual season in team history with their convincing win tonight against the Boxers, as every Corban student-athlete to take to the mats tonight emerged victorious over their Pacific counterparts.

Four of the five Navy and Gold grapplers to earn a weight class win tonight were among the seniors honored, beginning with redshirt senior David Rubio who needed just 1:38 to pin Pacific's Andrew Porter and open up an 18-6 lead for Corban.

Following another weight class forfeit in favor of the Warriors, senior Tyson Stover pinned Spyre Nelson in 2:08 for the fifth-straight six-point result for the Navy and Gold, followed by a 16-4 major decision for redshirt junior German Munoz against Boxers' Sage Adie.

This time in 2:53, graduate student Hunter James took down Romeo Hernandez by fall for the third pin of the day, setting up the lone Corban student-athlete to wrestle tonight who wasn't in tonight's senior ceremony, redshirt junior Antonio Garcia, for the fourth and final pin at 285lbs in 1:36 to clinch a MasterClass of a result tonight for the program heading into postseason competition.
