Corban University Secures Second Most Fall Academic All-Conference Award Winners in Pacific Northwest

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office announced the 2025 U.S. Bank Academic All-Conference award winners for fall sports recognized by the CCC, where the Corban University Athletic Department saw a fall sport record 58 student-athletes earn the distinct academic achievement. The 58 Warriors from five different varsity sports represent an increase of seven total student-athletes when compared to the 51 from fall of 2024, which was previously a school record as well.

"Our fall sport athletes have set a high bar this year with the most Academic All-Conference student-athletes in school history for a fall season," said Corban director of athletics Bill Pilgeram. "We are very proud of the well-rounded students we have within our athletic programs and their continued success in the classroom!"

To earn recognition as a CCC Academic All-Conference member, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2, have attended their current institution for at least one academic year, and be of at least sophomore standing academically within their institution at the time of nomination. Varsity sports within the conference that are eligible for this distinction in the fall season include men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, and women's indoor volleyball.

In terms of pure quantity and qualification percentage, the Warrior women's soccer program held the most individual award winners this year with 15 total honorees while 15 of 16 eligible team members earned the GPA necessary to qualify for a success rate of over 93%. Women's soccer was followed closely behind by women's volleyball and men's cross country who each had 11 Academic All-Conference team members. Women's cross country submitted ten nominees, while men's soccer sports nine for this fall season. In total, six graduate students, twenty seniors, eighteen juniors, and thirteen sophomores were named to the seasonal academic award presented by the CCC.

Corban University had the second most student-athletes among the fifteen CCC members who had at least one award winner today, trailing The College of Idaho by just two total student-athletes and beating out numerous full-time schools such as Eastern Oregon University, Southern Oregon University, and Oregon Tech. Among the four private Christian schools in the CCC, Corban tops the list with 12 more honorees than Bushnell University, 20 more than Warner Pacific University, and 26 more than Northwest University.
