Brian Hills was a member of Western Baptist’s men’s basketball team for four seasons (1993-97) helping lead the Warriors to a win-loss record of 84-61 that included a trip to the NAIA Division II national tournament in ’97. The former McKay High School star holds six school records and is the all-time leading scorer in NAIA and program history with 3,403 career points. Hills scored a then-conference record 49 points against Albertson College of Idaho on February 19, 1994 and also made a school-record 51 consecutive free throws over a five-game span during the 1995-96 season. The winner of the Pete Maravich Memorial Award as the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Player of the Year in 1997, Hills concluded his illustrious career with a pair of trips to the NCCAA national tournament in 1995 & 1996 with then-Western Baptist finishing as the runner-up in ’95.
