Warrior Hall of Fame
In 1978, Western Baptist was afforded the luxury of bringing its home basketball and volleyball contests onto campus thanks to the work of Clarence E. Jeffers. The C.E. Jeffers Sports Center hosted its first game in January of 1978 against Western Washington University, as the men’s basketball team suffered a heart-wrenching 82-75 loss to the Vikings. The Sports Center was named in honor of Jeffers, who is a Western alumnus of the Class of 1950, after he worked as the building superintendent for the project. "Jeff", as he was called by his friends, spent his lifetime in dedication to the helping of friends and churches in their building needs. Jeffers past away to be with his Lord and Savior on April 20, 1979 and is survived by his wife, Joan, and four children.
