Warrior Hall of Fame
Don Hiebenthal played four seasons (1975-79) as a member of Western Baptist’s men’s basketball team helping lead the Warriors to back-to-back National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) national tournament and a pair of NAIA playoff berths. The former Dallas High School star is the fourth all-time leading scorer in program history with 2,460 career points and led the NAIA in scoring at 29.3 points per game as a senior. Hiebenthal was named UPI All-West Coast District 2 Player of the Year, NAIA 1st team All-American, NAIA Player of the Week, and NCCAA Player of the Week during his illustrious career.
